Course Requirements & What to Bring
To ensure a smooth training day and successful qualification, students attending the Maryland Wear & Carry Renewal Course should come prepared.

A valid Maryland Wear & Carry Permit (not expired beyond renewal window)
A reliable handgun in safe working condition
At least 50 rounds of ammunition
Eye and ear protection
Government-issued photo ID
Recommended:
Holster and magazine pouch (if applicable)
Extra magazine or speed loader
Note-taking materials
Appropriate range clothing (closed-toe shoes, no low-cut tops)
Important Safety Notice:
Live ammunition is NOT permitted in the classroom portion of training. All firearms must be unloaded and properly secured when entering the classroom. Ammunition should remain stored separately until range time.
Ammo is not provided for the course; however, 9mm and .22LR ammunition are available for purchase if needed.

Rounds are scored on the B-27 silhouette target, and students must meet the minimum 70% passing requirement. Safe firearm handling, muzzle discipline, and compliance with range commands are required at all times.
Students who successfully complete the qualification will receive the instructor-signed documentation required for their Maryland Wear & Carry renewal application.
